Venue Hire

  • Yes, please get in touch and let us know what event you’ve got in mind!

Recording & Photography

  • Please do not record the event unless you have gained permission from the venue and the performing act themselves, this also applies to patron crowd shots. Anyone caught doing so, without pre-arranged consent will have their gear confiscated until the end of the night. Thank you in advance for your understanding on this issue.

Age Restriction

  • Unless stated as an U18s (under 18s show), Stranded is an over 18 venue only. Due to our license we cannot allow any minors into the premise. To gain entry you are required to produce one of the following forms of ID:

    • Driver’s License; OR

    • Passport; OR

    • 18+ Card.

    PLEASE NOTE: Student Cards are not valid forms of ID.

Parking & Transport

  • Try the McWhirters Car Park on Warner St. If you book a spot early, you can get a weekend/overnight park between $7-$9. Street parking can be OK but read the signs, as the fines are hefty and the inspectors are ruthless. DO NOT PARK in private business carparks that warn you that they tow unauthorised vehicles. The tow trucks are ruthless and it’s crazy expensive to retrieve your car. It happens far too often, so please be sure to read the signs.

  • Yep, turn left from Ann St into Winn St and pull up on the left hand side of the street. Once you unloaded your gear you should have walking access to Winn Lane through to the backstage area of Stranded (up the stairs). Drop your gear quickly; make sure to leave your hazard lights on.

  • Depending on which direction you are coming from, there are many public transport options to Stranded Bar. Plan a trip with Translink's Journey Planner.

Smoking & Vaping

  • If you are a smoker, you are required to go outside the front of the building and partake there. Brisbane City Council now has weekend patrols that monitor and fine people who put out butts on the footpath. THE FINE IS $200 and they regularly sweep our area. We do provide two bins at the front of the venue to place your butts in; if you don’t you will end up $200 poorer.

  • All forms of smoking are to take place outside the venue in our allocated smoking area, this includes vaping or e-cigarettes.

We do not tolerate sexism, racism, ableism, transphobia, homophobia, or ageism in any form and actively challenge discriminatory behaviours.

RSA

  • Yes! All staff are trained and certified in the responsible service of alcohol.

  • Yes! Free water is available at all times throughout the venue.

  • No! We don’t serve double shots.
